Jesse's Bio

I am Jesse Parker, frontman for DEPRIVE. I'm 21 and have been playing guitar for 5 years. I am strongly influenced from bands such as Perfect circle, Korn, Static-X and any thing Nu-Metal. I try to write music that's melodic, with a lot of energy. Choppy heavey riffs during the verses, with full progessive melodic chords for the choruses, like system of a down. My vocal inspirations derive from Maynard and Johnathon Davis. I have only been signing for just over a year, but I practice my ass off for about 3-4 hours a day. I can really relate to Johnathon Davis because I see the world the way he does. Let's just say I've experienced similar events in life, I thrive off my anger. Maynard just simply has an amazing voice. i hope someday I can write and sing as amazing as him. Since I can remember I've always wanted to be someone big, like a singer or an actor. One day I picked up my dad's acoustic guitar out of bordem and havent let a guitar leave my hands since. Writing songs seems to come natrually for me. I just sing what I feel. Riffs can be a little more difficult. I like very technical, complex riffs, Sometimes i have to force my self to tone it down. Someone once said to me "K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid)" and I live by that. It has to be easy on the ears and catchy for people to enjoy it, even if your a metal band.
